Dave Shipton, an engineer turned kitchen and bedroom installer, designed a device to enable accurate and reliable scribe lines to be marked and, when cut to that line, the fillet will fit perfectly and without the need for additional trimming. To use his words, “To create a scribe line rather than a guide line”.
Dave contacted Ray Wilson, a retired businessman, to seek help and advice to get the product to market. Ray was immediately impressed with the idea, made proposals to improve the design and the two agreed to work together. Scribe-Mate was born.
Today's children and young people are tomorrow's community and community leaders, so each and every one of them needs, indeed deserves, the best start possible. Sadly and through no fault of their own, many children and young people are not able to enjoy life experiences which are ‘the norm' for others.
For example, it is our intention to donate a sum of money each month to support as many children and young people as possible; we will provide money to schools to cover the cost to fund children whose parents cannot afford to send their children on field trips and similar events; cover the cost to coach talented or gifted athletic and sporty children; provide strips to children's clubs and schools. Clearly, we cannot support everyone, but we genuinely want to make a difference to as many children and young people as possible.
Customers are invited to nominate individuals and organisations and we will spread our support as widely across the UK as possible.
